Pilates, Yoga & Meditation
As a student, I attended Alexander Technique lessons to help with awareness of my posture while playing. In my post-graduate year I started Yoga, and found that as well as the poses, I really enjoyed and benefited from the meditation and connection with the breath. Combined with my regular swimming I started noticing a marked improvement in my breath length and control.

Later I started going to meditation classes along with teachings in Buddhism. This really helped with my anxiety around playing and performing.

On leaving the RAF, I trained to become a Body Control Pilates teacher and also completed my Yoga teacher training. Drawing all of the experience and training together, I bring extra support and awareness for my students in posture, breathing exercises and thought processes.
